Since FG blocking is a hold-off rusher type blocking, and not a drive defender backwards type blocking, can we get it switched to pass blocking skills and SAs instead of run blocking skills and SAs?

I mean, it's not like run blocking linemen don't get a big enough advantage being able to ply their trade on return teams. I should at least be able to watch an XP attempt with my Olinemen not getting pancaked because they've got no run blocking sklls. Let the run blocking focused guys get put on their ass for a change.

It depends on where you are positioned on the line

The guards and center step forward? I have no problem with the suggestion just saying don't think you can define the interior guys to one or the other. Imo, seems like a lot of you guys disagree.

Keep in mind, the blocking is wholly irrelevant to the kick.

The only thing the blocking on a fg/xp is good for, is a short chance to pancake/revcake for morale/energy damage. In this regard, a pass blocking heavy offensive line is disadvantaged to take some damage vs a run blocking offensive line gets to flip that issue and inflict damage on the defense.

Mechanically, could care less if it should be run blocking. It needs to be pass blocking for the small amount of balance it offers on ST interactions between run and pass blockers.

No one on the line steps forward while blocking for a FG of XP. It's not really run blocking or pass blocking, but it definitely more closely resembles pass blocking.
