From what I've seen it's not 1 seed vs wild card like you'd think based on the NFL. There's a slight reshuffle once the wild card has been 100% determined, which realigns the 4 teams by record, which would put you against either #3 or #4, depending on where you finish vs SDF. If the wild card team has the 2nd best record they'll play team #3, and #1 will be vs the 4th team.

If the wild card has the 3rd best record they'll play #2 and if they have the worst record they'll play vs #1. They obviously can't be #1 ranked team

1 vs 4. Makes perfect sense. Same thing happens in any other sport. Sometimes wild card teams have more wins than teams with higher seeds.

Yeah it just depends on how you look at it. Best Record vs Worst Record, or Seed 1 vs Seed 4 - they can mean completely different things, or the same thing.

You could argue that any team that ended up as the #4 wildcard shoulda played better and they wouldn't be in that position to begin with...although I prefer to have them sorted by proper ranking first to be a true 1v4 but that's just me

Before this 1 game wildcard nonsense in MLB it used to be the wild card winner couldnt face the division winner in the same division in the first round.

But yea, not a huge deal. Still gotta go through the same teams to win the trophy whether or not its first round or in the final.

Just stupid that we are playing the 2nd best team in the opening round. they should have a 6 team format with the top 2 teams getting BYE's or something

Not going to lie, this matchup against SDF has me scared! Hard to beat someone 3 times in 1 season. We both know what each other brings to the table and we both know things will not be the same from a game planning standpoint for this game

Trust me. I'm planning hard for this and going to take some chances. Either it will work or you'll blow us out. Good luck
