I have some players that I built, that for whatever reason have trouble finding teams every season. Is there any disadvantage to letting a player sit for a season to try to find teams in a different level?

No, actually this is your best coarse of action if you don't want him on a CPU team. His career is based on games played, not days alive. So he can sit on the shelf as long as you like with no negative effect.

I thought that was the case, but I wanted to make sure.
