Johannesburg(AP)-- In a surprise move that stunned even his teammates, Ray Don Washington of the South Africa Hitmen threw down the gauntlet to Leonard Washington, starting QB of the Cape Verde Kings. The sparingly used and self proclaimed special teams warrior called out the superstar QB in a shocking way just hours before kick-off in the Lion Conference's game of the year.
"Pookie's (L. Washington) mama is so dumb she thought a Quarterback was a refund," said Ray Don. "And he got all his mama's brains. He's so dumb they made him ride the 'even shorter' bus to school. We are going to dominate any team that starts him."
Needless to say, the Hitmen's owner, RMead, was less than happy with his player's comments.
"That's Ray Don being Ray Don," said RMead. "He has one big play all year long, and now he thinks he's The Answer. We don't need to give that team any more bulletin board material. We're going to sit down tomorrow and have a chat with Ray Don to see if we can straighten him out."
Leonard Washington was unavailable for comment. Sources close to the Kings say the flap will have no effect on the team's game plan or outlook.
