I suggest that during the off-season for each day you are under contract on a team you player should gain +10 chem. So you could gain a total of 30 chem if you signed on day 1, or if you had 65 chem and resigned with your team you would have 95 chem. This would not apply to players sign to low contracts. Thoughts?

Doesn't seem logical to me. They might as well just make the max chemistry value at 70... What's the difference?

Invalidates the purpose of chem to just give it away like the suggestion says

Do you think that you wouldn't develop chemistry during the off-season or practice? I think 10 a day may be a bit high, but it's a pretty good suggestion...one that has been made before.

This. 10 per day is insane, and a bit cruel for players who don't have a team lined up for the first day of free agency. A smaller gain would be good.

How about 2 a day. Seems reasonable and you can gain 10 chem in the offseaon if play cards right.

I'd prefer if it wasn't "per day" and just one lump sum at the season rollover. You're either in training camp or you're not, no need to worry about "late signings".

And what exactly is the purpose of chemistry?
More specifically, the unintended effect of chemistry is that it penalizes current players because other players stop playing.
I understand what it was *supposed* to do.
In reality, it doesn't work. The implementation is wrong.
Every sports team (football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, etc.) in existence has dealt with chemistry changes. Which is why every team sport has a preseason designed to build chemistry, so that the starting point isn't zero.
I'm not a fan of per day chem gains in the offseason because you can't always control when people are on to issue and accept contracts. It is only 3 real life days after all and not the weeks/months that real teams have.
My suggestion is to bump chem at the beginning of preseason for everyone on the roster.

I just spewed something out but after thinking a bit on it, I agree.
