Two ladder games left.

One league game left (for most of the top teams). Still plenty of room for movement in the top 5 depending on how these games go. Let's look at the ladder first:

LADDER
#1 (60) Stunners (26-2) vs #40 Pro (#45 global) Nashville Ninjas (14-12-2) - tough matchup for the stunners -- a pro team with a winning record. Hopefully they're on a haitus until season 6 starts!

#2 (88) Nebraska Cornhuskers (20-8) vs #5 (101) Tampa Bay Tusken Raiders (21-7) -- GREAT matchup! Even though they are 13 ladder rungs apart -- great to see a top 5 matchup in seasoned. Nebraska has been VERY good in ladder matchups against seasoned this season. I predict Nebraska runs away with this one -- as HB Benning cannot be stopped. Look for double digits in broken tackles -- and 200+ yards on the ground.

#3 (90) Continentals (23-5) vs #13 Journeyman (70 Global) Savannah Stingers (16-12) - Continentals are winding down to retirement. They just lost in the 1st round of the playoffs. They are facing a very good, top 15 Journeyman team. I don't see very many reasons for the Continentals to be spending time game planning here. They can't reach #1 (most likely) -- so I expect they coast here...and Savannah gets the win.

#4 (98) LUELinks (22-6) vs #21 Journeyman (80 Global) Santa Clara Gold Miners (16-11-1) - LUE also says they are folding at the end of this season...but I'm not sure if they are for reals or not. This is a tough matchup though facing a winning journeyman team who just beat Tampa Bay. If I knew LUE were still interested....I'd likely choose them. Since I'm not sure -- I'm going to pick Santa Clara by 3.

#6 (103) Drinkin Hell Raisers (22-6) vs #10 (110) Gatling Valley Pirates (17-11) - Even though they are out of the playoffs --- I expect that Drinkin is still interested in fighting for a top 5 Ladder trophy. I predict Drinkin wins this one by 10

#7 (104) Victorious Secret (16-12) vs #28 Journeyman (93 Global) Asbury Park Blue Bishops -- Asbury has been tearing up the seasoned ranks this season in the ladder...VS has been hit and miss when playing up. I expect Asbury wins this one by 13

#8 (105) Alpine (18-10) vs #30 Journeyman (95 Global) Sandy Cheeks (10-18) -- I'm going to pick Alpine here. Sandy is a good team (one of the Stunners' losses this season was to Sandy) - but I think Alpine will come through.

#9 (107) D'Haran (18-10) VS #35 Journeyman (102 Global) New Albany Ants (12-13-3) - D'Haran is 3-7 in their last 10 games. Something is going very wrong over there lately. I predict D'Haran gets back on track thanks to a lack of a custom defense by the Ants here.

League Play Championships

Adams League Avg Ladder: 135- with 3 teams in the top 5; 5 teams in the top 20 -- and 10 teams in the top 37 -- Adams is TOUGH. In the semi-finals we saw #4 LUELinks and #19 Pawnee fall.

The Championship game is set: #1 Stunners vs #2 Nebraska - the third time these two teams have faced in the championship. We've each won one time....and as we head into the third - it is anyones game as these two powerhouse running teams square off. You couldn't ask for a better set up than #1 vs #2 -- plus Viper is a pretty stinking nice guy...and a friend -- so this will be a fun one.

Eisenhower League Avg Ladder: 149 - the first round of the playoffs saw Gatling (#10) beat the Drunken Potato Farmers in a close game. It also saw Troy Big Beavers upset Tampa Bay Tuskenraiders (#5).

The championship game will be #10 Gatling vs #26 Troy in what might be the biggest "mismatch" (per ladder rankings" of seasoned play.

Madison League Avg Ladder: 140 - Much like Adams -- the Madison championship game is no real shocker. #7 Victorious vs #9 D'Haran. Alpine and Shell City both lost close games in the semi's (by 7 and 6 pts respectively).

Monroe League Avg Ladder: 156 - #6 Drinkin and #14 Compton both fell in the semis - leaving #24 Bling and #11 Drunken RedZone Zombies to face off in the finals (there sure are a lot of drunk teams out there).

Wilson League Avg Ladder: 157 - With only 2 teams in the top 20 - Wilson would seem like one of the weakest seasoned leagues. In a shocker - the #3 Continentals were upset by #15 Polk High in the semifinals. The other had #22 Dryden taking down #41 Walking Dead. So we'll have a #15 vs #22 championship game.

Next season should be GOOD. I wouldn't be surprised if we consolidate down -- even to 3 leagues (from 5)...but it might be 4 leagues.

Everything will be tougher. I sure hope Adams survives the slaughter....but adds some good teams to our empty slots.

My favorite thing about this is that Tuskenraiders are up from 6->5 and Big Beavers are down 25->26 after the Beavers playoffs win. Troy can't catch a break on the ladder.

I don't think I'll ever understand the ELO in ladder.

Stunners won their game. Started the day at #60. Beat #45 Global. Ended the day at #60.

Then this morning - won the championship game against #88 - still at #60.

Must have some kind of freak ladder day where we didn't move yet everyone else shuffled around us? I would have hoped there would be at least a single spot for beating someone 15 spots ahead of you (not to mention 2 wins....1 15 up...the other 28 down)

Not sure why Troy is ranked so low. They're legit and have had a great year.

I put in a test gameplan in this ladder game with no real hope of getting into the top 5 so I just ran every QB outside run that I never do to see the blocking schemes to see what is an absolute no go or some that I could throw in there against VS.

It worked and got ourselves the title which matters most We'll work our way back up the ladder next season, should be fun! we are introducing some passing next season, ever adapting D'Hara!
