Now RI will watch the playoffs

eh, to be fair, other than two big QB rollouts for touchdowns, it pretty much shut you down again.

That game was more about your defense shutting down RIF's offense.

Maybe I shoulda put in the Air Raid or Compton offense for that game

you watch it? the middle runs were gashing RIF...those QB runs were put in as they are some of the only ones that work against that defense.

Also learned a few more that don't work that would be taken out of the next game vs a spam team.

2 of the 3 fumbles RIF had I thought were easy D'Hara recoveries which would of made the score even worse

Yeah I watched it. I saw you get 251 yards on 55 carries for a modest 4.5 YPC and 10 points. I then also saw you get 2 carries for 141 yards and 14 more points too.

Take away those two plays, it's a bad day at the office.

But you can't take them away, this I know. Afterall, part of the power of that type of offense is the sudden ability to score from anywhere. It's difficult to build for handling it and still be competitive against elite passing offenses.

Take it a step further, three more of your bigger plays in the game were QB rollouts for 12, 17, and 32 yards.

That's another 61 yards, giving you over half your total offense for the day from 5 QB rollouts.

I could make the argument that you don't QB rollout nearly enough, tbh.

if you only QB rollout then that gets shutdown, you have to implement it so teams still have to worry about it and it pops for a score here and there, but against the good teams in the league we can't just roll with that.

4.5 ypc up the gut would be ok to do all day long btw. almost all TFL plays were outside HB plays that I tested vs this defense.

4.5 YPC up the gut would be alright with an efficient passing game to support it. As a standalone all rushing attack, it's not going to be nearly enough. Of course, the QB rollout threat substitutes in for the passing game with it's impact on how the offense works.

It's why I view all-rushing as superior to all passing attack ultimately. I can't replicate the short yardage success the way a rushing team can replicate a passing attack with the pitch/rollout game. If you can convert long yardage 40-60% of the time on 3rd down by pitching or rolling out, then you're doing as well as I am with Air Raid throwing it, more or less. Except your "sudden touchdown" ability is much higher than my passing attack, and you also get to punish the defense with morale/energy slaughtering pancake blocking in a way that passing offenses and blockers cannot.

There's a reason my next team's called Ground Assault and not Air Raid 2.0.

p much it's a waste of time to do anything other than a running offense with m2m corners and zone Safties. with run stopping LB's and DL :/

Edit: But don't worry guys! The game is totally balanced and everything has a chance to work!
