To hell with CiT and Grip. I just want more Hands and Pass Tech. Clevelands at 57.1% right now this season so far. If I eliminated drops, he'd be throwing at 65.7%. We drop 8.6% of our passes. That's 8.6% of our plays that fail without the coverage guy even being involved.

That's the most frustrating part about this game for me, maxed out receiving hand WRs almost never catch screen passes, blockers run straight past the guy who makes the tackle despite being inches away from him, defenders run right past the ball carrier when no jukes are made. There's the other thread about fumble rate. Low morale QBs can't unload the ball, and start getting sacked repeatedly.

I understand fix your builds, and that it's a leveling game so players need to start out bad and improve, but high level players on top teams struggle to do the most basic things in football on every down.

I'd rather win by having my guys make good plays against the opponent, not by making less boneheaded plays.

If your guys didn't make boneheaded plays there would be no reason to continue applying sp's.

Our guys sucked at rookie and it's definitely driven us to keep playing and putting points in, I keep telling myself that in a few more levels it'll make a difference....

A more serious answer is that a better scenario is people wanting to keep putting points in to beat other players and teams, not to stop their own guys for being so shitty.

It's satisfying, for instance, finally getting enough power tackling and technique on your LBs to stop a beast power HB from flattening them. Basic things like blocking a guy in front of you and receivers not falling down running a short route into the flat are frustrating to deal with, they should be easy to master early on.

A big problem in GLB1 was preople undervaluing secondaries like confidence and stamina. I have a feeling that those secondaries are just as valuable here, if not more so since the system is clearer and there are even more of them.

Did you know QB's lose stamina for every pass they release, and even more so based on the distance of that pass? Because I didn't. I lost 15 stamina today trying a single 25 yard pass. That's at 40 conditioning.

There are definitely specific issues like screen passes and such, but in general it's kind of funny to see people ignore the secondaries just the same as they did in GLB1. I know of all the stuff I've invested in with my QB, heart and conditioning was only above pass power on the priority totem pole. Seeing my QB go from 70 stamina, to 64 before the pass is even thrown, to 49 while the ball is in the air was certainly an eye opener for me.

13 capped skills on my FS, I ignore nothing!
Of course he's horrible. I haven't capped pass deflect because he's only in position to attempt to deflect/interfere with a pass 1-2 times a game, tops.

I'm just saying, if a dude is doing something all on his own, like an awareness check, catching a wide open 5 yard pass with no defenders anywhere near him, or running 5 yards without falling down, he shouldn't need to be built by a top player builder that has figured out all all the perfect levels for that player's secondary stats - this should be easy stuff that new players can figure out and do right away on their own, or they are going to get frustrated really fast.

If we're talking about getting a CB's build to the point where he can stay one on one with a max level star receiver without getting faked, and still fight for the ball and swat it successfully then I agree; it should have to be a very finely tailored build that you've gotta bust out the spreadsheets to get just right.

If I were to try to shape from a complaint into a request, it's basically make rolls that are uncontested much easier than they are now, but also make rolls where players from the other the team are contesting them harder, that will allow strong player builders to differentiate themselves.

I just get frustrated with zone, especially when a CB rushes up to try to cover a HB in the flat and leaves a WR wide ass open along the sideline. Also, the toons over the top never try to deflect passes.

yea I had another game with 50% completion...

I feel like I'm at like 45-50ish average the last 5-10 games... really a struggle right now

At this point I'm just sticking with zones out of pure stubborness

That running teams suck and passing teams are OP'd?
