Minnesota Golden Lizards @ Oregon Bulldawgs
Prediction - Bulldawgs by alot
Actual - Lizards by 3...
Not a great start to the seasons predictions to say the least, but i suppose it could have been worse...right?
After a good opening drive by the Blizards which saw them punt from the Dawgs 24 the teams exchanged a 3 & out or two before a good Dawg drive saw them miss a field goal from 32 yards. the 2nd Q saw drive put together a little better without any threat of putting points on the board until 2 minutes from the end when the Lizards hit a 27 yards Field goal to make it 3-0...after that the closest either team came to scoring was a missed 36 yards FG at 7:21 in the 4th...a very typical Rookieball first game. My apologies to the Blizards who managed to pull the victory out of somewhere despite only having 3 human players.
Maine Blue Jays @ Wesley Chapel Warriors
Prediction: Warriors by 3 TDS
Actual: Warriors win 28-7
Who cares what happened i was right
The Blue Gays started off well with a 44 yard 4 minute drive taking them to the Warriors 24, where they missed a 41 yard FG. They followed this up with a warrior 3 & Out and looked as though they could cause the upsest…briefly. After another missed FG, this time from 39 the Maine Defense fell apart and the warriors marched down field, almost solely relying on their rushing game and took the lead with a QB Rush for 17 yards. The teams briefly traded possessions before Maine DT Forced a fumble in a good position and the Blue jays leveled things up at 7-7 with just over a minute left in the 1st half. But 4 plays later the warriors were back in front from ANOTHER QB rush and led at half time 14-7. The second half was a little more one sided and towards the end of the 3rd the warriors stretched the lead with a PASS to the TE, 21-7. Finally, midway through the 4th the Warriors completed the scoring when one of their 2 (TWO) rushing S* QB's sprinted 75 yards for the game winning TD.
Blitzkrieg Panthers @ North Conway RiverMonsters
Prediction: Panthers…just
Actual: Monsters…just…I suck at this
The Panters stared off on fire…figuratively of course…with a run heavy drive culminating in a 45 yard rush from the QB. If I was a little fish I would have been worried at this point…wrongly of course but I would have been. I would have been more worried after their 3 & Out response on the next drive. Although they stemed the scoring after that horrible first drive and the next 2 Q's consisted of North Conway mixing things uop and the Panters running their asses off…all to no avail. Then, in the 4th the game came to life, as much as a rookie ball game can, when Panters punter fumbled a snap on his own 16 yard line, giving the fish possession on the Panters 26. It didn’t take much for them to turn this into a TD and tie the game up at 7-7 with 10 to play. After alternating stagnant drives the fish could see the light and QB Tiger McCloud staged a 46 yard drive to the Panthers 9 yard line where the FG was GOOD! After this the Panters couldn’t reply and the game ended 10-7 little fish!!
Roman Testudo @ Flawless Victory
Prediction Testudo by 4 TDs
Actual: Testudo by (almost) 3 TD's..2-2…hopefully my team starts better than this!
I think the scoreline is a little harsh on Flawless, they managed to keep the Test tubes to 2.5 Yrds per rush which is some achievement…but got slaughtered through the air and couldn’t protect their QB against the onslaught of Roman test tube defenders. The first two drives ended in punts but on their second drive of the game the Test tubes held the ball for 6 minutes and managed a 24yard FG for their trubles. The Flawed team responded with a 3 & out and from then on it was tough for them…even tougher when the test tubes came back with a TD, a 26 yard toss & catch to the TE. Again the flawed guys couldn’t move the ball in response and at the start of the 2nd Q the test tubes extended the lead with another TD 17-0 with almost 12 minutes left in the 1st half! There was a lot of sacks and not much offense in the 2nd half and the test tubes scored a FG. The Flawed offense struggled to move the ball and managed to clock up under 100 yards of total offense.
Orlando Slugs @ Phuket Nightwalkers
Prediction: Phuket by a lot
Actual: Phuket, but only just
The Nightwalkers looked like they belonged on a street corner for a lot of this game as the offense was awful..and the slugs didn’t fair much better, the first half consisted of quick drives and nut many yards for anyone besides the punters. Phuket managed a 1st half FG to take a 3-0 lead. Finally in the 4th quarter there was a drive that lasted longer than 3 minutes when the slugs slimmed down field to the phuket 16 and hit a FG from 34 to tie the game up at 3-3 and at this point I began to sob. But with 2:50 to go in the game a 30 yard "bomb" from QB Augustus hit the WR at the Slugs 15 yard line to set up a 23 yard FG with 1 minute to go. The slugs didn’t have the time or energy to respond and the Hookers skulked off with a shonky 6-3 W.
Oklahoma City Warriors @ Houston Cuckholders Sad Man
Prediction: Houston by more than was sensible
Actual Houston by a sensible score.
And I manage a 4-2 in week 1…woo hoo
Houston dominated from start to finish and took the lead in the 1st with an impressive 43 yard FG.
Not much happened until the Cockholders got the ball on their own 31 with 3:27 to go in the 1st…eventually almost 7 (SEVEN) minutes later after a well balanced drive QB Zeke Banks hit WR Gagne in the endzone for the 1st TD 10-0. The Warriors hit straight back with a 46 Yard FG to make it 10-3 and it looked like a fightback may be on the cards…but it wasn’t and the dreams were squashed when with 5 minutes left in the half a 46 yard rush from a HB (!!!!) increased the Cockholders lead to…4…6…by 7 more (I hate math). The ssecond half had more yards and less points, 3 points to be exact, with a little over a minute to go. The cockholders came away with the deserved W.
Yes im bored, no i can't spel, i may have lied about the math and yes I am being paid whilst I write this garbage…no they don’t have a clue that I waste hours every day looking at this game so shhhhh!
