Seattle Renegades vs Jershon Stripling Warriors
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/912/29
Seattle's first test, and Jershon's first chance to prove that this season they deserve to win their division. Both teams have been struggling with pre-season scrimmages so far, so look for this to be a testing ground for both sides. It's an old Osprey grudge match of sorts, with rackhound's offense against the former KC ownership. But I think having more time to figure out their team will give Jershon the edge here.
Jershon 13-7
Final score: Jerson 14-11
Baltimore BrewMasters vs Dallas Manglers
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/132/94
On paper, Baltimore should have this one won. Last season they split the series, but Baltimore got shut out in their final meeting. Look for it to be a close game, with Dallas pulling ahead and winning comfortably.
Dallas 14-3
Final score: Baltimore 24-7
Midgar Avalanche vs Portland Storm
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/436/690
The two top teams in Beta start the season off head to head! Always fun when the first game of the year could have playoff implications down the road. At the end of the season, I expect Portland to win their division, but it won't be by beating Midgar. Last season, Portland took both from Midgard. But in pre-season scrimmages, Portland has struggled against run-first teams with rushing QBs. A sign of things to come this game? Or Portland lulling Midgar into a false sense of security?
Midgar 17-13
Final score: Midgar 24-14
New York Gangsters vs Jacksonville Sharks
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/300/58
It's not a question of "Will New York win?", but rather "How many players can they pad the stats of in prep for MVP voting?" Look for this to be a total one-sided snoozefest that NY's offensive players will love, while the defense will wonder why they only had 12 snaps.
NY 80something-7
Final Score: NY 37-7
Montgomery Stags vs Rapper's Delight - GAME OF THE WEEK!
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/914/659
Another stat-padding snoozefest. Alpha must be jealous that both Beta and Gamma seem to have a CPU whipping boy to help players with their MVP races.
RD 60something-3
Final Score: RD 28-3
Shaolin Spider Monkeys vs Vandelay Industries
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/867/865
If any team in this league knows how to gameplan against Vandelay, it's Shaolin. They came close to an upset at the end of the season in Krypton, and are looking to start this year off with a big message to the rest of the league: taking down the top ranked ladder team in Lithium. Will a perfect storm of bad luck, a new defense, and dropped passes help Shaolin accomplish their goal? It's possible, but this should be a win for Vandy
Vandelay 38-17
Final Score: Vandelay 34-0
W/L on the week: 5-1
