His words, and it kinda sucks losing the team that gave Nnamdi a chance and me a chance to OC. Wish best of luck to PS3

I didn't totally give up on them. But it's really hard to motivate yourself to do the work needed to build a defense when
a) You know you can't build coverages that work anyway
b) You don't have an offense
c) You know you don't have the builds to beat the best team in your league

USC coming on board at the end helped with b, but we were still stuck with guys who couldn't beat Romo's blockers nor tackle his runners, and of course, nobody could really cover at the end of the season.

So this season I'm really down to just doing LL's defense, Cat Herder's offense, and scouting for VB. Much less to worry about, won't take as much time, should be able to do a better job of all of it.

1v2, 3v4, 5v6, etc is pretty unfair to odd numbered teams.

is it though?

can't 5 leapfrog 4 if 5 beats 6 and 3 beats 4?

The way ELO works, higher teams playing lower teams risk more of their points in losing and gain fewer in winning. In the 1v2, 3v4, etc, the odd teams are always higher, and hence, always have more at risk with less to gain.

A team always has to be ranked higher or lower. It doesn't matter how you organize the ladder. The difference of one ranking up or down shouldn't be a big issue.

Remember, the number one team has to ALWAYS play a lower ranked team every week, would people say that it is unfair that the #1 team never plays a higher ranked team?

Corns argument is lol.
