Specifically what I am wondering is if backpedaling and sideways movement are limited by a toons Speed at all, or if they are only limited by Footwork.

Good question. Maybe quickness plays plays a larger role in footworks effectiveness. bhall43

certainly seems like sprinting helps effect spin speed and what not. Otherwise I wouldn't know why my corner moves so slow in comparison to other guys when switching back and forth.
