That would be absolutely fascinating to see in action.

Bad journeyman teams in seasoned leagues. Only good rookie teams making it to sophomore (well, that kinda already is this case because bad rookie teams just go away).

Not sure how well it'd sit with the actual players tho. It'd be frustrating to have one of the teams that just barely got themselves demoted running amuck in your league with a full season's extra SP's under their belt.

Only way imo to ensure complete parity across all leagues is to have an EPL style structure.

well...in theory that would be the best solution. Then again you would see abuses ny just swapping whole rosters and or coaches and bam. A great squad in a bad league = Worse than it is now

Oh, didnt realize that. I tried to give GLB1 a shot and gave up halfway through creating my free character. Makes my head hurt thinking about it.

There's no doubt that GLB2 is considerably more "new player friendly" with it's more direct player creation and building. One of the bigger +'s to GLB2 IMO. The ability to screw up your build on GLB1 was one of it's bigger problems as a game.

I guess the ladder effectively replaces any type of tiered league system as well.

Ya, you can't run both and make them be interesting.

In defensive of Beta and my team, Shell City, the disparity between the top teams in Alpha and Gamma and the top teams in Beta isn't as huge as it seems. The top two teams in Alpha, Texas A&M and Alpine, only beat Shell City by 4 and 9 respectively. We haven't lost to a Gamma division team by more than 3 TD's I don't think.

The Tortuga Pirates (second place in Beta) only lost to the #1 and #3 in Gamma by 6 and 7.

Sure Beta is weak, but I'm not sure if I see any 49-0 playoff games in the near future.
