how do they have positive yardage with so many sack yards? Shouldn't they be considered part of either the passing or rushing yards and subtracted from them?

Sack yards dont count toward passing or rushing for the QB. Sack yards is an own stat.

yes but it should be included in total passing yards. In the NFL the QB's have the total passing yards they have thrown in the game but for total passing yards it is his total passing yards - the sack yardage. IMO this should be the same

no but it is a football sim. if they are going to mimic all the other stats why not count that one correctly as well?

I dont think they just mimic football stats. Are the official coffin punt stats in the NFL, or drops or sticks? They have set up an own set of stats and decided to separate sack yards from rushing and passing. You can like it, you can dislike it, but in the end you have to live with it...
btw, I dont think it is a bad idea to separate it. And if you dont like it, you can still use a calculator and substract the sack yards from the passing yards...

Heck no! It's like getting participation ribbons to call it a tie.

We'll just say you got the gold on natural talent and I got the silver from years of training and discipline. Both sound good. If only I hadn't eaten that one burrito way back when
