ya being in d-league isn't gonna be an indication of anything. That build would have done just fine for me.

The rookie season was on a real team - started out as the sole QB, got reducded to a bench role about midway through due to terribleness. D-league was this year, after no takers despite 2 PLFT threads and a marketplace ad.

My hb doesn't break tackles in rookie often either. Rookies arent supposed to do advanced things unless the relevant skills are spammed early. It's rookie...

You know, one thing I wouldn't mind seeing is the QB holding blocks in more the more often he gets sacked. Kinda like a loss of faith in Oline kinda thing. I think I'd start holding back TEs, FB, HBs hell audibling in WRs after the 10th time I got sacked in the first half

It actually works the opposite right now. As your morale/energy drain throughout the game, your pocket awareness decreases, so it occurs less often.
In games where teams blitz 6 on us a whole bunch, Cleveland will use the HB almost every time in the first half. Into the second half it gets much rarer.

Yeah I know. If we give up an early turnover or multiple Showboat drive our Offense is dead the rest of the game and I expect about 20 sacks for the other team. I watch every scrim my team plays, and I've seen them battle back from the above a few times, but usually it's the result of the 4 opposing cornerbacks having low conditioning and getting wiped trying to chase 6 WRs. When that happens sometimes my offense is able to rebuild it's morale.
Back on point. I think having the QB to hold blocks slightly more often for every 5 sacks he takes could help him in that regards. Albeit at the expense of another receiving option. So if the opposing Defense is getting alot of sacks with high-technique spin cycle DEs and only rushing 4 that means the more sacks the QB takes the less available receivers he'd have to throw to. Which in turn helps the coverage.

You really shouldn't stress too much about it. By the end of sophomore, as long as you keep building well and run a reasonable playbook, sacks are an afterthought.
