Is it best to utilize 1 QB or 2? I ask as an owner of a rookie team. I see alot running 1, and others running 2. I've noticed in my games that 1 usually plays really well where the second is mediocre, and it switches at times.

When I ran a rookie team with a passing game - I felt it was absolutely required to have 2 to avoid morale spirals and endurance issues.

When I ran a rookie running team - 1 QB was fine for me

Those are just my opinions.

Yep, the debate boils down to handling the energy/morale damage from a game. Rushing teams that run the QB often might want 2 to share the stamina load. Passing teams may want a second QB to blunt the morale damage in games where they get sacked many times.

It's a very expensive position to carry 2 players, so that's a consideration with your salary cap, especially if you're running any superstars on the team. It's also a position that you likely won't want 2 players at Veteran level, so the second QB is only a crutch until later levels till your builds can develop.

There are a few teams that do roll with a passing and a rushing QB as well. Typically the passing QB plays most downs, but the rushing QB gets inserted for goalline plays to use the QB rollout play.

Misconceptions about running 2 QB systems because of morale are dumb. People had the same misconceptions for a long time in GLB1 too.

The only reason you should be running a 2 QB system is energy and really only if you plan on making large use of the running abilities. Otherwise you are just wasting a roster spot.
