in the OAI theres this option. Does it always go for it on 4th and short in the redzone?

I ask because in a game I just lost in a scrim (private so will link for Cdog but no one else will see)

We went for it in the third quarter 5 points down. From the Opposition 12. Now we lost this game by 5 points in the end but ended up also going for it on 4th down in the last play of the game from the opposition 23, in which we had passed 3 times from there and failed.

Had we gone for the original FG, we could have run it and then kicked a FG from the opp 23 (or less) and won had the kicker made it (prob still missed but you never know)

There is definitely some weird logic surrounding when to go for it and when to kick the FG/punt.

Yep, does any one know if it is consistent in the fact 4th and short always goes for it, or is it another one where sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't.

I was kind of mad we went for it on 4th and 1 here http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/57928/696843 being only down 7 points, half way through 1st quarter. Luckily we made it but...geesh.

Yorick would go for it every 4th and 1 or less if I could. 4th and 1 at my own 10...yup. I have that much faith in my o-line to move the d-line back a yard.

The rest of the teams I coach...I'd just want control over it.
