How do you hold back the FB for pass protect? Is it only in tactics under QB Blocking Audibles? I see that this version you cannot take out a FB from the QB Checkdown Order.

In the QB Blocking Audibles it says "QB may hold back FB to block extra blitzers"
What is considered extra blitzers? More then 4? Or is it any total players who rush more then the total sum of the Dline(DT/DE)?

6 pass rushers can cause the QB to use the "hold in" tactics. 5 rushers won't get it called. QBs ability to determine when to hold in a blocker is heavily influenced by pocket awareness. You need 50-60 to see it start firing somewhat reliably against 6 man blitzes. Even then you'll see it less as a game goes on and the QB suffers energy/morale damage and his effective pocket awareness decreases.

It seems that the devs only want the QB'S to hold them back when there are more pass rushers than blockers but with Spin Cycle and better pass rushing skills 5 or even 4 rushers can be disruptive....especially against run blocking Olines (i.e. mine). Plus, the way it is now there is basically no reason to build up pass blocking skills on a FB/TE. That's lame.
