The same thing happens again near the end of the second quarter. Maybe the HBs are bobbling the ball the whole way down the field

What makes the drops so lol is the target is always standing still when the pass arrives. Unless they are making ridiculous diving catches - which is a whole additional level of lol. You learn in peewee football that if you can't catch a screen without diving on the ground for it you just let it go.

And then there are plays like this -

Granted the HB is not built to be a blocking beast but he does have some SP's in run block power and awareness - both run block and lead block. Pathetic.

I suspect the real problem is that if screens worked even half-assed as well as they should they would be unstoppable. Bort and Co. can't figure out how to attain a workable balance so we get this shit instead.

That explains all of those incomplete screen passes that are recovered by the defense in GLB2 right?

obviously those aren't coded, I'm just pointing out that little tidbit of information you gave is 100% bullshit.
Even in college receivers still hit the ground if they must catch a poorly thrown screen pass.
