Why are Kickers pursuing the play up the middle of the field (or is it just mine)? Given that he only has 8 quickness and 9 Sprinting, he gets there remarkably quickly, just a few clicks behind the Gunners and has often been the one to make the tackle on the returner despite having only opening build tackling skills.

8 this season. I know it's not a massive amount, but he's always there or thereabouts, mixing it with the big lads.

It is always the same pattern. The kick return team players have a set assignment, no one cares for the kicker and he gets a free lane. If the kicker is able to fake out the in-coming BWer (who is usally a slow OLiner), he is in a position to tackle.

Yup, it's just a function of he regularly goes unblocked by the first line of guys, and has the straightest path to the returner most of the time.
