Osprey isn't really being held back by the bad starting rating of later teams, I'm pretty sure. Ladder matches are starting to be more fair and so on. This was a problem in S1 for sure and S2 almost certainly, but by around the middle of S3 I think that concern is gone. Taking about 2 full seasons is probably about right for cleaning away a bad starting rating.

"Best League" and "toughest league" and so on is always an argument because it always means different things to different people, as Gart's tongue in cheek reply so very well points out. Osprey is quite competitive, and Tampa I think has proven they can hang with the top 10 with 4 wins over current top 10 teams and a #9 ranking. Alpine was top 10 material in seasons past but has clearly slipped this season. It has 5 teams in the top 50 and 3 more ranked in the 50-60 range, and has come very close to putting all 8 of those teams in the top 50 at the same time. As we get fewer leagues and fewer teams in the oldest age group this means less and less.

I think the Osprey teams are getting rated about where they belong now, but to be considered a runaway powerhouse league would need the top teams to be ranked higher than 9-17-25-28-50. Osprey gets my vote for "My favorite league" though. Sorry, other leagues i'm in.

Leagues are only going to get tougher as we approach Veteran with more teams dropping back to rookie resulting in more league mergers. The seasoned leagues I'm involved with have gotten a lot tougher just from the last round of mergers. Can't wait to see how things look at the start of S4

Also the veteran leagues will just keep getting bigger as right now's Rookie/Sophmore/Seasoned class meet each other at the top.

Good point; are there any plans for a World League type thing? Or will official tournaments fill that role? There is a tournament code for game type so they musn't be too far off.

Really not a fan of creating a WL along with the ladder games. Pretty much makes the ladder considerably less entertaining. (imo of course, but clearly the best team would be the one that wins WL and not the top ranked ladder team)

Think I agree, the ladder is my favorite part of the game right now. I don't want to see anything added that would take away from it.

Never said that they are currently being screwed by the ladder rankings. I was speaking Season 1 and 2 and that is all. Currently, yes where teams are being located are at the correct ladder rankings. There is no current bias going on that I've seen.

Tournaments are going to be user created.

I figured that was a better change than official tournaments, since there's already two kinds of official games.

You will get to know B-Squad pretty soon. We are 11-2 in our last 13 games and have moved up from 116 to 50 in the ladder.
