I see a lot of pancakes and revcakes happen when a player is breaking a long run and the block doesn't do anything. It kills the stamina of the players involved and it doesn't give a clear picture of how effective players are at blocking if they're getting credited for cakes/revcakes in those situations. If blocks were automatically disengaged at a certain distance from the ball carrier it wouldn't affect the game and would prevent those admittedly minor consequences.

uh no. Its called finishing your blocks, and every lineman in football relishes finishing his block by knocking his opponnent down. My guys kill the other team all the time on that...its not hard.

I'm confused. So you want him to start blocking, a DE for example, and just because the DE has initially been blocked, you want him to leave him and start blocking someone else? What happens if the DE is faster than the OT?

Hate to break it to you but to balance out the stamina gained from not doing that the energy losses would be bigger elsewhere and thus you would still need to get your conditioning up.

I think it's worse on the people that try to run the length of the field from 40 yards away than the people who get held up in blocks or praise the heavens knocked down.

lol...yes.
In my league I have a strong winning record, and I have beaten 1st place teams who were previously undefeated...until they played my team. Problem is I do not gameplan so I sometimes lose on that technicality, esp. in ladder games when I play around with the settings (I am 6-5-1 in my league, 3-8 in "ladder" games.) So don't let my "9-13-1" record fool you...I could care less about ladder games...I don't have a bunch of agents to gameplan for me, scout for me blah blah blah, I just have me, so I wont win most games without that, but with my dominant builds I am capable of beating undefeated teams any game, if you don't do your homework against me.
I challenge you to play my team if you have a rookie team and see how many pancakes my guys get. That would be fun.

No one scouts or gameplans for me yet I find a way to win, your ladder record is much more telling about how good you are than your league record. You should be able to figure that out since you run the same gameplan for both, one you are average in and the other you are very below average.
