I think we are agreeing - but it would still be fun to watch the silly game - get the trophy - etc.

Problem with adding coaches is - selecting them --- then coaches want to see builds to determine game plan -- then some coaches won't waste the time since the game is meaningless -- etc

I dunno I have never seen Homages and Whatje's builds and do just fine with SF.

I'd kind of assume that the sim would be handled like a pick-up game.

(Not from the standpoint of that being an ideal solution but rather that it seems like it would be the easiest way for them to code things up.)

I'll prob have both my soph OLBs (HoF #1 and #5 overall, #1 and #2 in soph), and rookie QB (#3 in rookie HoF, #3 overall QB... #2 QB and I keep trading spots) if it's done by age level

I dunno I think that drastically removes the appeal from the majority of the game. Doing it via league still allows some of the middle of the road teams the ability to get players into an all star game. Doing it via age bracket makes that drastically harder. So the game just ends up being a glory hog of the top teams as if they need any more of that with playoffs, championships, and ladder trophies.

Except the league allstar game becomes a game of all the best team's players. Gorilla's will be filled to the brim with my players.

We can compromise and have games for both.

age level is way better than league...

yea it will be loaded with players on top 20 teams, but there will also be guys on there that aren't (defensive players with lots of tackles, punters that punt a lot), just like in the NFL

There is no point in even watching a league all-star game.

4 teams at most will make up 90% of the game and if you are at an impact position on a good team there isn't even a challenge in making it. Guarantee QB, HB, LB, DE, and probably WR all come from a top 3 team.

At least by age there is some prestige there.
