Great game, MOD. I knew once the second half started that it was going to be a tough game to not let you come back in the 4th and win it.

GG Alpine, turnovers were the different as both of our kickers sucked.

This can't match Toast's force fumble at the 4 with 30 seconds left to preserve a 34-31 win, but it's the longest Piggy back ride in football:

GG Toast, I am stumped to why my HB fumbles the ball the way he does. Frankly there really shouldn't be a reason for it, but it is what it is. The fumble early hurt us morale wise, just offense hit a dead wall when that happened and you can tell the momentum shifts as the game went on. You guys played a good game and we just came up short.

Some things to take from this as there are some major issues at play imo.

Tactics.

It was 1st and Goal with 34 seconds remaining and no time outs. We need 3 points for a tie and a TD for the win. Logic says pass the ball and incomplete stops clock and if you get to 4th kick the FG right?

Well here are my tactics setup in these situations and yes this was a custom setup for this game.

1st Down General: 40% pass 60% run
RedZone 1st Down: 50% pass 50% run
4thQ Trailing 3 Min Offense: 100% pass
4thQ Within 3 in FG range 5 Min Left: 50% pass 50% run

So order of events would think honestly the tactics did what they should but given the fact that the code pays no mind to that you don't have any timeouts within FG range makes me think you should be passing. Now to what detail we should get tactics involved but this isn't the first time I have been bit by the finite details of tactics in situations such as these.

Not saying these are why we lost, but as a general question as it seems my HB fumble quite a bit I really need to understand why and looking at things I honestly can't. Sure I can throw darts but nothing screams there it is and says why its consistent.

Start of game here was his stamina/morale
95/100 versus 82/91

Build
Carry Grip : 47
Power Running : 9
Balance : 38
Footwork : 44
Conditioning : 40
Toughness : 36
Heart : 40 + 25 for high contract
Elusive running style

End of game here was his stamina/morale versus SS who caused fumble
61/100 versus 44/62

Build
Carry Grip : 53
Power Running : 42
Balance : 46
Footwork : 35
Conditioning : 41
Toughness : 41
Heart : 40 + 25 for high contract
Combo running style

You can only do so much, it's all a roll of the dice and if the odds are 1 in 100 then there's still a chance. He also got off a 'monster hit' which increases fumble potential.

The play in general was prime for a fumble, right up the middle, huge hole with 1 defender head on. It's either monster hit for the D or broken tackle for a TD. Pretty awesome ending

Plus Davoin is built specifically to be a hitting machine. Obviously it's still RNG at the end of the day and we got really lucky with 2 turnovers in very key situations. But on the bright side at least it was a guy built 100% to force fumbles/take down runners doing it and not like the games where we have a CB who has nothing invested into tackling or power tackling causing them.

In terms of tactics, offensively I think they're always going to cause issues where you can't fine tune them to specific situations. But on the other hand if we had more control we've seen how easy it is to game the system. I'm just glad that one of those close games with weird play calling at the end didn't bite us in the ass this time like it usually does.
