Is there some kind of penalty for being over the cap?

No, money really doesn't mean anything, all it does is increase the speed of morale. There isn't eq, training, stadiums, concessions, so there is nothing to spend it on

Its a hard cap. There's no penalty because you cannot cross it.

You aren't supposed to be able to but a couple teams got away with going a little bit over. So that needs to be fixed somehow either by them putting one of their contracts on low or cutting a player. With all their contracts being medium though it isn't the biggest of deals, however it obviously isn't ideal to the people who made sacrifices this season in order to be under the cap.

Yeah, if a team got bugged to be over somehow, that should certainly be corrected.

lol, so you also didnt undersatnd what was happening. No contracts changed, exactly the same Players with exactly the same contracts. ALL were normal Rookies, ALL are the same level. ALL of them fitted in the salary at rookie level and then moving to sophemore they are suddenly over the cap? Its a bug, not more, not less

Yeah I had to make a cut to get under. Doesn't seem fair that others are still over without the cuts.
