sorry you got me all wrong. I am not wanted newly made players to catch up. Just old one that might have missed the catch button they had active for 3 days.

You'll get the chance to do so again next offseason. It's always there as an option each offseason to finish off an incomplete bar of experience. But for the reasons outlined above, it won't ever be available midseason.

thanks for the info but sorry I just don't get it. How a player who was made in say season 1,2,3, or what ever season you want pick could not catch up to the others that were made at the same time as he. I am not asking for a season 3 guy to catch up to a season 1 guy that would be just plan dumb.

But for the mechanic that you're asking for to work, that's what would happen. The catch up button hyper-levels a player to the next tier, without cares for anything else. If the button was always there, players could skip seasons easily. It only shows up during the offseason, preventing players from skipping multiple seasons.

HOW? Then if that is the case how does the game know who to even give the catch up button to? If it has those parameters to find the lower bar guy. Then sure the hell they could code it so a guy made in season 1 who maybe got cut and missed a few games. Could catch up to what would be even with him and not allow a season 3 guy to catch up to a season 1 guy.

Its not looking at when your player was created. That's irrelevant info. Its simply looking for two flags most likely. ( offseason = yes?) and (Is player experience /= 0?). If both those are true, the button is active. If you remove the offseason logic, then it'd be active every time a player had gained experience after playing a single game.

Your player creation date is wholly irrelevant in GLB2. You could shelve a guy for years and then sign to a team and he'd be right where he left off in his career.

Yep, player "age/experience" is totally based on games played. Every 6 games, you gain a level. Every 5 levels is considered a tier.

It's actually very nice for the situation you've found yourself. Midseason guys in GLB1, or guys that went inactive and returned later found their players useless. Here, you can pick back up right where you left off.
