I want to have a pure rushing QB play in only goalline rush plays (also to give my other QB a rest), but it looks like even if I take my rush QB out of the depth chart for regular offensive plays, he will still play in them.

Anyone figured this out yet?

I couldn't...that's why I have 2 rQBs on the Drunks.

It is not possible, and hopefully never, ever will be in GLB2. Situational depth charts (and the tagging that they led to) are one of the most infuriating and complicating factors from GLB1.

agree being able to change QB by every formation/play is dumb... but I don't think having a rushing QB in on ONLY goalline plays is a big deal

The most you can do is add only qb plays in the playbook, have 2 rqb both set on rushing/scrambling all the time, set your tactics to run every play, you still be forced to pass, and the qb's won't do that well running or passing, but there you go

Well, it should be possible, but it'd require giving DC's the ability to tag players for situational defenses.

I'm sure Bort and Corndog are just dying to add all that code.

They don't want tagging at all. Which is another reason they threw away the formation specific depth charts for offense.

That's because you're dying to exploit the fact that none of the goalline defenses can stop QB Rollout Strong which in turn means ~90% of the defenses out there will give up big yardage every time you call it.

Of course, this won't help you with Pain Nation or Zorp, so maybe you should try something other than getting the devs to build an exploit for ya.

The Salty Runback used a good play to stop it in our Tourney game tonight - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/45000
