This is the last rookie ladder game we played. I think the logic for this is probably fine, though it doesn't seem to hold in the HB in singleback spread often, if at all. Anytime we went 3WR though, it would often hold back the HB, and sometimes the TE.

Pocket Awareness on QB - 40

My suspicion for the second half lack of holding in blockers is either A) QB conditioning weakened pocket awareness enough to reduce his ability to read the blitzes or B) QB reads the blitzes, but felt they were less of a threat due to lower blitzer skills from energy/morale drain of thier own. Either way, he doesn't get sacked but maybe once in the second half, so I kinda think he doesn't hold guys in based on the "threat" of the blitz.

Fwiw, he held in an extra blocker on 7 of 49 eligible pass attempts. All from 3WR, none from 4WR. Sacked 5 times. Faced DAG almost exclusively the whole game.

I imagine a QB with 70+ pocket awareness will handle holding in blockers pretty well and kill this particular concern.
