Bort described the tiebreakers as such:

Same as GLB Classic.

Team matchup winner, wins, ties, points allowed, points for.

Ladder games don't count for league playoffs.

However, Osprey Beta division appears to not follow this.

MoD and Detroit have the same record, and have split the season series. Their season stats compared:
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/297/295

Detroit is better on points allowed by 20, but behind on points for by 63.

Yet MoD is ranked 2nd and Detroit is ranked 3rd in the division.
For the wild card, there's a third team in the mix, but both MoD and Detroit beat them, so it's 2-1 records vs 0-2. Deeproute has a points allowed higher than Detroit, but less than MoD; they also have fewer points scored than MoD but more than Detroit.

According to Bort's quote, Detroit should be both #2 in Beta and get the wild card. As it stands, MoD is #2 in Beta, and the best we can guess MoD will get the wild card as well.

It would be nice to have this sorted before playoff games are created.

Only other explanation I could give is the PF-PA comparison argument. MoD does have an edge there as well. But that comparison wasn't even on the docket.

There is another thread where Bort also posts it as PF - PA as the third tiebreaker.

Honestly these rules, whatever they are officially , should be posted to avoid these kinds of things.

Also:
Given that its now
Record
Head to Head
Division Record

Why not just make the 4th Tiebreaker Point Differential in the two games they played ; so saw
Team A beats Team B 30-14 the first time (16 pt Margin of Victory)
Team B beats Team A 21-20 the second matchup (1 Margin of Victory)

It should go to team A, its easy to understand and compute for participants.

My Personal Preference:
Just Overall Record and Head to Head ... If two teams are tied INSTANT PLAYOFF right there right then, team default offense and defense. Would solve all the arguing about the situation.

Did they change it to have division record?

If that is the case both teams were 3-3 in division play....

Well, apparently it's points scored, as Piranha Alpha has the same thing going on. Tied records, tied H2H, one team has fewer points scored but also fewer points against...and the team with more points scored is ahead.

So to keep track here is what I come up with for all the leagues that have a tiebreaker situation:

Osprey - Battle for WC Spot 3 Way Tie 2 in same division (MoD currently slotted to get it)
3 Teams:
DeepRoute (9-5) lost against MoD & lost against Detroit
MoD (9-5) won against DeepRoute and split against Detroit
Detroit (9-5) won against DeepRoute and split against MoD

This would assume MoD and Detroit go through the tiebreakers and here is what variables I come up with:
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/295/300
Divisional Record : MoD (3-3) Detroit (3-3)
Points For : Mod (317) Detroit (253)
Points Against : Mod (263) Detroit (211)
Points Difference : Mod (+54) Detroit (+42)

Wolf - Battle for WC Spot in different divisions
2 Teams:
Taylor Gang (9-5) lost against Mr Men
Mr Men (9-5) won against Taylor Gang

This should be a no brainer as Mr Men won the tiebreaker but for humor here is the breakdown:
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/197/206
Divisional Record : Taylor Gang (4-2) Mr Men (4-2)
Points For : Taylor Gang (483) Mr Men (335)
Points Against : Taylor Gang (195) Mr Men (168)
Points Difference : Taylor Gang (+288) Mr Men (+167)

=================================================

Mercury - Battle for WC Spot within same division (Sacramento currently slotted as higher in division to go to WC)
2 Teams:
Sacramento Titans (9-5) split against Erie Swarm
Erie Swarm (9-5) split against Sacramento Titans

Looks like Erie Swarm should take this one as they lead all categories but Sacramento Titans are listed as the higher:
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/372/374
Divisional Record : Sacramento Titans (3-3) Erie Swarm (3-3)
Points For : Sacramento Titans (181) Erie Swarm (211)
Points Against : Sacramento Titans (123) Erie Swarm (114)
Points Difference : Sacramento Titans (+58) Erie Swarm (+97)

=================================================

Oberon - Battle for Division Winner (currently Miskatonic U. Fightin' Cephalopods slotted to win)
2 Teams:
Miskatonic U. Fightin' Cephalopods (7-7) split against Kansas City Chaos
Kansas City Chaos (7-7) split against Miskatonic U. Fightin' Cephalopods

All things point to Miskatonic U. Fightin' Cephalopods.
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/488/490
Divisional Record : Miskatonic U. Fightin' Cephalopods (5-1) Kansas City Chaos (5-1)
Points For : Miskatonic U. Fightin' Cephalopods (180) Kansas City Chaos (168)
Points Against : Miskatonic U. Fightin' Cephalopods (178) Kansas City Chaos (215)
Points Difference : Miskatonic U. Fightin' Cephalopods (+2) Kansas City Chaos (-47)

=================================================

Pluto - Battle for Division Winner (currently Marvel Heroes slotted to win)
2 Teams:
Marvel Heroes (7-7) split against Kansas City Chaos
Mrakos Thunder (7-7) split against Marvel Heroes

All things point to Marvel Heroes.
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/424/423
Divisional Record : Marvel Heroes (5-1) Mrakos Thunder (3-3)
Points For : Marvel Heroes (487) Mrakos Thunder (312)
Points Against : Marvel Heroes (91) Mrakos Thunder (138)
Points Difference : Marvel Heroes (+396) Mrakos Thunder (+174)

=================================================

Venus - Battle for WC Spot in different divisions
2 Teams:
New York Firetails (10-4) lost againstRichmond Redskins
Richmond Redskins (10-4) won against New York Firetails

This should be a no brainer as Mr Men won the tiebreaker but for humor here is the breakdown:
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/385/388
Divisional Record : New York Firetails (3-3) Richmond Redskins (2-4)
Points For : New York Firetails (235) Richmond Redskins (174)
Points Against : New York Firetails (95) Richmond Redskins (69)
Points Difference : New York Firetails (+140) Richmond Redskins (+105)

=================================================

Piranha - Battle for Division Winner (currently Bloodless Brotherhood slotted to win)
2 Teams:
Bloodless Brotherhood (9-5) split against Kansas City Chaos
Bonn Dynamo (9-5) split against Bloodless Brotherhood

Depending on what matters, either place.
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/99/100
Divisional Record : Bloodless Brotherhood (5-1) Bonn Dynamo (2-4)
Points For : Bloodless Brotherhood (249) Bonn Dynamo (244)
Points Against : Bloodless Brotherhood (232) Bonn Dynamo (201)
Points Difference : Bloodless Brotherhood (+17) Bonn Dynamo (+43)

Both leagues I mentioned - Osprey and Piranha - appear to have sorted themselves out as games were created. So, the bug is simply that the ordering of teams on the league page isn't correct until after the playoffs are assigned, which is kind of cruel.
