I disagree. Your example of asking a WR if he should be a LB is an extreme example but what if you change the example to say a OLB/MLB. If the coach or owner does not have the ability to view your build then they may inadvertantly put your "blitz specialist" OLB in the middle as a "run stuffer" MLB. This would not be ideal for your player nor the team as a whole. Where by if you had an open build the same coach would be able to make a more informed decision. I can understand to an extent the request for secrecy with player builds. But what I don't understand is why you wouldn't trust your owner and coaches to see your build if you plan on playing with that team long term? Maybe between you, your coaches, your owner, and other players on your team you could come up with better tecmos together instead of holding your cards so close to your chest? Especially since we are only in season 2 of this game and everyone is still guessing on much of the player building process.
