Need some help setting FG parameters.

My tactics set is Safe FG Range <=20, Max FG Range <=40
We punt from the 22!?
Can anyone explain why and, how to change the settings so that we will at least have a go at a FG from the 35-40?

Also, I can find no option for 4th and go for it apart from in the RZ on 4th and V Short (My V short distance is set to 3 yds) and in 4th Q trailing scenarios. Is this just how it is?

The safe distance is not what yard line you kick from. It's the distance of the field goal. So, from the 20 would be a 37 yard kick. That's barely inside your maximum.

This. Add +17 to get what yardline you want to kick a field goal from. 30 yard line? Set safe to 47.
