long-time GLB1 guy here trying my hand at GLB2 ownership...

seems like this is all 'casual' style with very few options...

my question is what does an OC and DC really do in GLB2?

(i was inactive the first 5 games because i didn't know i was given the team i was on the wait list for)

but once i became active (and auto-fill) filled out my roster, i set basic tactic and depth chart and seem set

i could definately use help recruiting good dots for next season instead of using auto-fill, but what does an OC and DC actively do? 5 minutes of scouting to help choose the right preset tactics? or am i missing something in GLB-2 land

Most of the OC's job is to set the actual playbook - you can customize it and make it call plays that work for your personnel (add/get rid of fullback runs, more/less 5 WR passing, pick the routes that work for you, pick the plays that have your better pass catchers at high priority). Scouting is minimal on offense, since it is more on the casual end, but you do need to put some care into the playbook and occasionally alter situational tactics.

DCs have a harder job, since they can find tenancies and try to exploit the "holes". But again, it's about picking the playbook, finding the blitz that hits the gap the offense runs in.

find the plays that work and game the crap out of it. but i'm not as serious as many

dot building seems better as they took all that math out and you won't screw your dot up if you don't do everything in perfect order

that's what i need to know... where the heck do you go to modify this stuff.. i find GLB2 generally not logical to navigate...
i click on the vertical yellow bar with "EDIT GAME TACTICS" and only see drop down boxes containing preset schemes... how do you modify ??

Go to your home page, and scroll down to the bottom. That's where you make your playbook and your tactics set. They're "yours" now, not part of the team, which makes it easy to install your offense or defense on however many teams you want.

They blame the other for the loss, take credit for the win.
