These will be brief this week. Time is my enemy. Note that the LUElinks LUEshis vs DEFCON 1 game is probably the biggest game of the week as far as playoff considerations. I think the GLB assumed Philly vs Fayetteville game has alot of excitement potential too. Can Fayetteville land two upsets in a row?
Philadelphia Firefighters 21 - 0 Texas City Stings
- Another day, another dominating defensive performance from Philly. 23 sacks! Squad 3 led the way with 5. That's just nasty. Matchup with Air Raid starting to lurk on the horizon.
Air Raid 68 - 3 Santa Fe Thunder
- Biggest offensive explosion of the season for Air Raid. Cleveland Brown went for 656 yards passing with 9 touchdowns. This offense is a nightmare for unprepared bottom half of the league teams. A matchup with Philadelphia's defense coming up in a few weeks. Highlight of the week:

Pass and Catch doesn't get much prettier than that.
Sacramento Billy Goats 17 - 14 Asau Pirates
- When two inactive owned teams play a GLB2 league game, does it make a sound? Sacramento's collection of random players did just enough to edge Asau's collection of random players. Amir Garland with 4.5 sacks provided the standout performance in this one.
Fayetteville Tarheels 7 - 0 DEFCON 1
- Upset of the week! Fayetteville has been overdue to get that first win, and they snuck up on DEFCON and shut them down. Neither offense did much, but TE Crash Leach provided the play of the game with a 20 yard jumping catch in the endzone that determined the outcome of the game.
Atlantic Tridents 6 - 3 Orlando Crushers
- Another low offense game. The difference here is Atlantic got to Orlando's quarterback early and often for 18 sacks. That's how an offense dies in rookie bortball. Hudson Messer continues to lead the way for Atlantic's defense with 4 sacks, but he wasn't the only effective pass rusher in this one. Atlantic was also able to churn out a nice day running the football with thier two primary halfbacks getting over 50 yards each.
LUElinks LUEshis 20 - 7 Detroit Revelers
- LUE LUE takes care of business in this one and maintains pace with Atlantic in the very competitive Gamma Division. They're also one of three contenders for the wildcard at the moment as well. Balance is the word, with effective rushing and throwing, LUElinks is getting offensive production that can take advantage of solid defensive play and keep pressure on opposing teams. El Negro Raymundo Arroz had 79.5 yards rushing and 2 TDs as the workhorse keeping the LUEshis offense rolling.
