DEFCON 1 7 - 0 Orlando Crushers
- Here's how this went down. Defcon get's the opening kick, completes 1 pass for 17 yards for a first down, then punts. Orlando immediately throws an interception, and Derick Jones connects with Justin Roth for a nice 32 yard TD at 12:59 in the first quarter. Game over. Turn out the lights on your way out. It was all defense from that point, and the most interesting note is that Defcon hauled in not 1, but 2 interceptions. That's pretty rare in rookie ball.

Detriot Revelers 17 - 7 Sacramento Billy Goats
- I've been saying that Detroit is an improved team of late, and they continue to show it. Watch out, they have a chance to be relevant over the next couple weeks. While the Revelers offense wasn't particularly great in this one, and they gave up a good bit of yardage to sacramento, the defense was very aggressive. Darnell Dockett had a ridiculous 8.5 sacks, 3 hurries, and a fumble recovery. They simply killed Sacramento drives when they needed too. Turnovers were the killer.

Philadelphia Firefighters 13 - 7 LUElinks LUEshis
- Our game of the week lived up to the billing! Philly's #1 defense continues to show why they're so highly regarded. 16 sacks. Another sub 250 yardage allowed. You just can't play field position with these guys. They wear you down and pin you back until they're able to capitalize. TE Quint 1 had a nice day with 94.5 yards and a TD on 6 catches.

Atlantic Tridents 22 - 7 Santa Fe Thunder
- The Tridents did what they're supposed to do against a bottom half squad. Actually could've been a little bigger blowout, but Atlantic had some drives stall and missed a couple field goals. Defense was lockdown at holding Santa Fe to 163 yards. We're seeing several teams get exactly 16 sacks this week. It's been the winner in each case. Hudson Messer's 6.5 sacks, 2 hurries, and a forced fumble and recovery paced the Trident's D. With the LUEshis loss this week, Atlantic retakes the lead in Gamma.

Air Raid 48 - 0 Fayetteville Tarheels
- No surprise here. Teams in the bottom half of the league simply aren't going to be able to slow down this offense. It was 35-0 at halftime. Wes Walker had a breakout performance with 10 catches on 11 targets for 132.5 yards. Catchy Receivers snagged 8 balls for 101.5 yards and 2 TDs. Fayetteville getting shutout is a little surprising. They're typically decent rushing attack was shut down. They were completely ineffective through the air as well, completing only 33% of their passes for 3.3 YPA. Frankly, they're probably lucky this one wasn't 70-0.

Texas City Stings 17 - 7 Asau Pirates
- In the basement brawl, Texas City finally lifts themselves up off the mat to go get a win! The running game was completely ineffective, but the passing game was very effective. Air Force 1 put up 358.5 yards passing with 2 TDs to lead the way, while Roy Hockenberry chipped in 5 sacks and two hurries with a forced fumble to help shut down any aspirations by Asau. The pirates continue to struggle on offense.
