So I create a player midway through last season. I join a team and finish the season as a level 3 Rookie.
When trying to join a team for season 2, I find out because I'm a Rookie still I can't be offered a contract.
Then I try to get an offer from a CPU team and get the message "no CPU teams found to fit this player."
Not nice, been playing GLB classic for a while.
Now I guess I can forget about GLB2.

He's a free player, just retire him and create another one experienced, he'll basically start as a level 1 rookie.

Thought about that, but now that season 2 has started that player will be in the same position when this season ends. Will have to retire he when season 2 ends and re-roll a new one for season 3.

Not if you create him experienced. He will be the same level as everybody else. If by chance you do end up in the same situation you can use the catch up option if they offer that again.
