Pretty self explanatory. With Challenge scrimmages (not quick scrimmages), we should have a check box to let it be a ranked game. It'll create more fluidity in the ladders and give a reason to schedule scrimmages a few days out.

Don't think I agree - it'll allow people to game the system by choosing their own opponents and tanking. And god knows when you can game the system - someone here will.

How would tanking help people? I'll give you that "if the system can be gamed, it will be" around here, but I don't see any benifit a team would have to dropping their ranking.

As for choosing their own opponents, yes, you'd definitely have some teams who duck serious competition, but that would mean they just hold their rank and don't improve (beyond their league and ladder games). An aggressive team, however, could climb up the rankings a bit faster than normal and get the spot they "deserve".

Probably not gonna happen.

There's a lot of value to having everyone playing the same number of ranked games in keeping the ratings healthy. Massive discrepancies in games played was certainly an issue for my rankings in GLB1.

Seems like a bad idea. Lock it up.

The idea is great imo...The thing is that it would only work, as many many other ideas, in a perfect world where ppl dont always try to gain somehow advantages by exploiting things...
