Grabbing an arm isn't constituted as a GLB drag?

Yeah, I pumped up strip technique on my CB to 50+ early on, and it was a complete waste. I've tackled a ton of WRs since then who put nothing into carrying grip (at least all the open builds I saw) and I've gotten nothing for all those skill points. I even tried upping tackling technique as well. He can tackle just about anyone at this point but nothing has helped cause fumbles. And to be honest why should he have to be great at all the various tackling aspects to cause a fumble. One name: Charles Tillman. Mediocre tackler, certainly not a power tackler, but amazing strip technique and causes tons of fumbles against WRs not used to covering up and RBs too. But it doesn't appear I can mimic this type of player. Which is a shame since it's damn near impossible to make an imposing cover corner. Really makes me wish I hadn't spent any time building a CB.

Yeah, I would have pumped "strip technique" and "tackling grip" together. I've seen strips work (where the ball comes out, but the ball carrier is not taken to the ground, from what I've seen), but they aren't as common right now because of a combination of skills are missing. I think tackling grip (which will help you to hold on to the defender, keeping them from breaking the tackle) will give you a longer chance, or more chances, of ripping the ball loose. I think that stripping the ball is easier when someone is already dragging a defender (makes sense, he's concentrating on fighting the defender, less protection for the ball), not just with the opportunist SA.

I suppose it could be. Usually its just a tackle that uses the arm for one of the two points of attachment. Whether the tackle would work or not if the ball does not come loose would be another question not yet resolved at the time of the strip resolution.
