Ya you don't have to use GL defense against GL. Pretty shocking I know.

I use a combination of GL defense and a cover 2. Both rarely give up big plays for us.

Might need to start using more Closing Speed.

Many of my bots still have an AP left to assign (was saving for playoffs or a second level SA at the end of the season), might need to try that. I did assign all of my D dots with showboat to start the season because TFLs and Sacks were pretty common.

Specifically, the play All Gaps Fire is pretty terrible against pitches. Who needs anyone left on the second or third levels?

Yes, but that is a designed play call. If you don't want to give up the edge, don't put that play in your playbook.
