Besides O-line, how important is footwork to offensive players? Not 100% sure, but my HB and WR don't seem to be any fast when I started adding footwork to them, and they never backpedal or sidestep.

I guess QBs should have footwork too, but i guess what I'm asking is, is it even worth pumping on a WR or HB?

WR and HB might not backpedal but I have never seen a HB/WR not sidestep in some capacity. I would think Balance and Footwork are needed but not primaries.

I think balance is really important to about every position, especially WR and HB.

But do they really sidestep or just change directions? I see QBs sidestep when avoiding blitzers, I never see a HB or WR move in that sort of motion.

I see my WR do sidesteps on several routes, it depends. For example, watch WR1 on a 3WR Reverse Slant. http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/8061/1298537
Also after the catch, if you're turned around you can get started moving by backpedaling and then turn. And so on.

I think they've done a good job making all the various movement skills valuable for all positions, it's just a matter of determining what's worth the SP for you.

this is a pretty ridiculous comment seeing how balance and footwork are on two different levels when it comes to o players.

Hence my comment, are needed but not primaries.... Means each have their own variance of importance to the player that it pertains to.

Not for sure how important it is, I did add a lot to the guy below but it was mainly for spin moves. He hasn't gotten a ton of touches so far so not for sure how well its doing.

Well if you look at DE granted he is defense, you will notice the spin cycle SA triggers off of footwork, so I would have to assume any spin move action requires footwork. Same goes for a WR who wants to turn around after a catch etc...
