I know that they will demand higher contracts and gain more Skill points but how many can an agent own (1 or 3)? Also, when do they go into effect?

You can own 3 at one time, 1 from each FP tier. They go into effect when you fill you SS bars in the upper left hand corner of your home page. So, if you get 15 100 FP players to Sophomore, you can have a SS at ant 100 FP position next season.

OK, I see. When will the superstars go into effect? Are my players already superstars? Or will they be next season?

The only players that will be superstars are the ones that you create as such, once you unlock the ability.

So just the three he mentioned, IF you unlock those tiers.

SuperStar is a Trait you can pick at character creation, IF you have it available for that character type at the time you create it.

So you have to make new Superstar players once you unlock them, which won't be until after this season, at least, as far as I understand it.
