I don't think it's about speed. My WR (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/9695) has the best drop rates of the team. I took sprinting to 14 just now, but all the games he's played he had just 9, making him the slowest one.

I think it has alot to do with with the QB's passing tech.

The "Stat" you are missing is "Receptions". We were looking for "Receptions".

You're still in control of the board, where would you like to go next?

Still really early in the season. Can't expect to be a monster catcher with less than 30 in a ton of relevant skills to receiving. If that were the case Vet league would be unstoppable. (Which to a degree, it is a bit)

Unless the lack of separation is causing a weird stat issue, hit catch/target is slightly above 50%, pretty good relative to his team and similar to league leaders.

Itīs not the number of drops that concern me but the randomness of the situations in wich they occur. It just doesnt make any sense.

It's not that I would expect a monster catcher, I would expect a guy who can't get open, so has few targets, lots of "due to nearby defenders", and a fair amount of deflections against. If I had built a speedster, I would expect a guy who gets open with a lot of flat drops, and it seems to be quite the opposite so far. They have similar catch rates, but the reasons for their incompletions seem backwards.

It's seems like RNG is overwhelming builds, play selection still matters so there are teams doing better than others, but the dot interactions just seem like coin flips.

It's hard to pinpoint, but if I took a guess it'd be that with each interaction there is a check on whether the defender intercepts, deflects, or pressures the receiver. There is also a check whether the receiver can catch in traffic, and the receiver's general catching ability mixed with the QBs passing quality.

The detail that we are not seeing in the game vs real life is whether it was /almost/ a catch, or whether is was /barely/ caught. The game is only displaying HARD results. Meaning, it is either caught, delflected, dropped, pressured or whatever - even if that roll was within 1, which in real life would be /almost/ caught or whichever words you'd like to describe it.

You are seeing the end result in the game, but in real life you might see bobbling or fighting for the ball, or a receiver cowering because an oncoming defender, or maybe looking upfield before fully bringing the ball in.

So what many may see as just a drop because their receiver doesn't have hands to catch a ball may just be the little things that affect a receiver securing a reception. The reason for that at the moment is everyone's attributes being low. From all the games I've watched, 40 and under is low, under 55 is not good. Most receivers don't have 55+ in catching abilities, so this is what you should expect - randomness.
