if you retire a player at anytime in S1 then its 100% flex refund, including boosts...
if you retire after S1 then its a "scale" depending on how long the player existed, down to 30% at a minimum....

is this correct???

I dunno for sure - I thought I lost some points retiring one earlier but I read it the same way you did.

Not 1 season but just 5 days for a 100% refund, iirc.

I just created a G and wanted to retire and my flex return wasn't 100%.

Flex Points Returned: 40

If you create a player now you have two choices:

1. If you leave the Experience box checked, he'll get all the accrued exp year to date so that he's even with other players in the league. This causes a small FLEX loss if you retire this player.

2. If you uncheck Experience, you won't get the extra 2500 skill points to build the player with, but if you retire him you get all FLEX back.

At least the above is my results after trying it both ways.

In short, if you just want to play around building players and then retiring them, UNCHECK the EXP box.
