I can understand if you're putting a db at rb or, even worse, receiver. However, you often see TEs flexed out wide and cbs transition into safeties later on in their careers or put there for extra coverage. Just a thought

It isn't as severe as GLB Classic, but yes, it does exist to prevent weird situations where an SS is a better LB than an LB or something silly like that.
