10+ to a skill max is a flat increase, in some cases it is useless if your build comes close to already maxing (due to attributes/traits) the ability or getting too high to be practical (90+). It is also worth less depending on what skill you are talking about (10+ to leadership/heart is worth much less than 10+ to pass accuracy).
With slow built and 8 agi/awareness it took me 1796 SP to reach 82 pass accuracy. With early bloomer and 10 agi/awareness it took me closer to 1200~. With skills like Heart and Leadership never really going above the low hundreds in cost, this ends up being a huge swing in attributes in the final build.
I've been planning builds for my Superstar and with the early bloomer penalty and the superstar max bonus cancelling each other out, it seems like I get much more value out of the 5% reduction than the +10 max. Trying to go from 80 to 90 pass accuracy/technique is a huge dedication of points. If EB stacks additively to Superstar and not multiplicatively, I think it might actually be too strong. The skill point costs are just not balanced/uniform.
It is multiplicative, but you'll find that it isn't much difference.
I can't even remember is superstar 15 or 10% reduction?
If 15 then all skills are going to be 85% of normal costs and with EB all skills would be 80.70% of normal costs.
