well i don't particularly like shotgun either. too much pressure, hurries, bad throws and sacks that end up in stalled drives or losses of yards in either of those formations. i like to move my O forward, not backward. and the blocking still sucks regardless.

wat? Most teams in this league have 5 WR's and barely use it at all. Hell you have 5 WR's and NEVER use the formation at all.

Why do you think teams carry 7-8 CBs? The more times you have 4+ on the field, the more their energy drains. Try running a 5 wide offense with only 5 WRs and your energy will be in the tank before the end of the 1st quarter.

I am not talking about a 5 WR offense. I am talking about sparingly using 5 WR. If the plays worked as well as you claim you wouldn't shy away from using them at all. Don't give me baloney about how many WR's people carry when we are talking a couple plays a game. If 5 WR was actually better at blocking than shotgun and single back it would be used over single back and shotgun preferably in situations passing deep. But people don't use it for those situations because realistically the blocking sucks for it. That might not mean ultimately the sack fest it used to be but it still is pretty unreliable and certainly not preferable.

The reason I want to run it is to show you how fail it is.

As opposed to the stats showing that it is very effective in limited use every season for a while now? I don't run it because one of my WRs is a STOP, another is a 2 AEQ build with 50 equipment points that's on my team because I like the agent, and a third only has 53 equipment points.
