What the heck is the RG doing in this play? Bug??? If its not then it sucks

The RG has 77 vision and in general is a decent build. I can see him being beat on a block because he is run arch and probably run focused here, but still. He looks to be humping the ROT FFS. That cant be proper football etiquette.

rg issue is not bug...its fubar and is more like soccer blocking...lde walks and triple team nt is glb now.....make rg a backup up qb probably work better...doh

Looks like he is trying to help on the LE since there is no closer threat. His vision might have prevented him from seeing the blitzing SS and not slide over like the LG did to get the blitzing FS on the opposite side. I actually think what the LG did was worse, leaving the RE free to pass rush. Either way, the sack was inevitable.

Didn't even notice that.

I suspect that the LDE is not taking into account that the TE is on the left side and is trying to pick up the blitzing FS.

Maybe the RG issue is the same, he expected the TE to pick up that blitz?

One thing I don't like to do is allow the QB to audible the TE. I don't like it when the QB puts the TE on the left -- like the play you linked.

I may have actually called that in the play because of the number of ROLB blitzes I have had come at my teams on SB plays.

Hadn't thought about the AI being a little buggy with it. But it makes sense.

I've put up lists of links like that only to have catch say he doesn't see anything wrong. There isn't going to be any action on this stuff. I've a list of play links I was putting together that show the center move into position to block only hit an invisible wall and let the blitzer move past, but came to the realization that it's not going to change until Bort realizes something is up and there's no way to let him know.

Also, the RT is 40 heavier than the LT, so the RG probably had a harder time getting around his big lard arse to check the SS blitz

I noticed some strange activity from the RG in a few games yesterday. Looks like a stealth change to blitzing based on a few days of complaints. I'll try to find a few more but here's the same play with and without a failed vision check:

Wow, the RG looks like he missed that block on purpose. Wonder if the QB forgot to invite him to breakfast that day.
