Im great at cooking, this thread did nothing for me except it told me a few people season this food with pure shit

this.. I believe this 100%, spices are meant for sirloins and shit like that... I use a rub when I smoke ribs, brisket, butt, and chicken, but I tend to go easy on steaks.. I love a good pittsburg rare steak.. Nice char on the outside and still blue inside. That doesnt need anything more than salt and pepper

Not if you're going to sear it in a pan and finish it in an oven. Besides, it's not a rub, it's not even to the point of blackening. We're talking one side here bubba.

cleaned up nice with still some pink in the middle. Dive right in and the juices start flowing, get it all over your face. Don't want to wash your face for hours to keep the intoxicating smell with you
