It's not arrogance, it's logic. My Bears team has historically done better in the playoffs when someone else was running my offense, leaving me to focus on defense. With that being LE, one of the top Gold OC's, plus Bevo as his asst, that's a powerful 1-2 punch this season. Had SBWL merged with another powerful East team, I would have said they were the odds on favorite, even over my team.

Now add to that the fact that Legster was no longer on BB, SoA was not that great the past couple seasons, and FGC has not made it past the 1st round the past 2 seasons, I don't think anyone would disagree that my new combined Bears team was the odds on favorite to win the East.

I wasn't being disrespectful against the other East teams, only saying it like I saw it. Plus many teams like to prove people wrong by exceeding expectations, which is exactly what happened here. BB was still a powerhouse without Leg, SoA is vastly improved over what they were the past couple seasons, and FGC is having one of the best seasons any Gold team has had in a long time. Kudos to those teams for proving my PRE-SEASON predictions wrong!!!

And who are you to talk about teams in Pee-Wee? You joined LE's NBNC league, and then couldn't be bothered with it. At least I gave it my all on my Bears team. What did you do in PW this season...

I am the co-owner of SoA and honestly to me I didn't feel like that was some type of brag post. You can ask pretty much anyone here who the early favorite was and they would say Gerr's team. Like Gerr said this was a preseason prediction.

Gerr predicted the top 4 teams in the Eastern Conference when no one else even tried to give their predictions. Granted they weren't exactly correct but the top 4 teams that he predicted made it to the final four in the conference in the playoffs. If anything that warrants some credit instead of bashing. FG is always a favorite every season no matter what, and DTD and I both thought that the merged team would be a powerhouse this season as they proved to be.

Any of the top 4 teams in your prediction deserved enough respect to be considered a threat for the eastern championship. all may not agree, but the proof is in the end of season results. I agree that Gerr/LE combo is a legit combo of talent to take on the east but when you word posts around words like the way you do, it rubs some people the wrong way. if you don't believe me, I got 2 PM's supporting calling you out on the arrogance in your posts. Maybe do the grown-up thing and be considerate of wtf your typing and how it comes out then trying to spin this and attack me over it.

I sort of agree with both of you guys, I thought that Chicago was the favorite in the east at the beginning of the season because of all of their talent and the fact that they had so many experienced pee wee guys on the team. I was very surprised that they weren't like a season 17 Cascade or a season 20 Maine level of dominance. However, I don't think that you needed to go out of your way to say that you had a 50-50 shot at beating my team Gerr, because I just think that isn't true based on performance this season.

Very hypocritical IMO. You take my "just for fun" pre-season preview of the East post, which was posted at a time when the Gold forums were very dead, and try to spin it to make me sound like some egotistical arrogant S.O.B., but then cry foul when I bring up the fact that you quit on the NBNC league, basically from the start?

And to Jkid2, I meant no disrespect by my flip of a coin quote, but we only hit you with our stock offense & defense our last game figuring we would face you again in the playoffs and didn't want to give anything away. We also figured you did the same, so when heavy scouting was in play, considering how close our 1st game was yardage wise with only the pick-6 making a big difference, ya, I figured our next game could go either way, which is often the case when 2 really good teams face off.

Never said I was at any point this season tard, your a quitter, everyone knows it plus you whine all the time about the sim or you do when you lose.

I'm #1 in flex spending, so I guess that means I can say whatever I want. I'm not quitting because I'm losing. I want to walk away while my team is still good, not while I'm completely worn out and FG is going down. Anyway, maybe in a year or a little more (real time) I'll come back and try to make 1 more run, I still have FG owned until season 32 or 33 anyway and I'm not going to sell them because I like having them as a trophy cabinet. I really just need a long break, but it may or may not be permanent, but it will be for a while.

You're good enough where you could make FGC a NBNC team and put them on auto-pilot and avoid demotion for several seasons and then decide then if you want to totally call it quits or make a come back. You just have to go through the bother of making 40-55 players and dealing with their up keep, but that's fairly minimal compared to what's involved in running a fully competitive Gold team.

Exactly, but I just think I'll carry on like that for a couple seasons and decide to get rid of FG. I don't think I ever really want to go through the hassle of a full gold season again competitively. Anyway, I don't think FG would be demoted. There are always a couple teams that don't fill their roster and a couple that don't gameplan and a few that are in LE's league and don't pay attention at all to gold, so I probably would finish somewhere from 7th-11th depending on the season.
