On Singleback, HB Counter Strong, HBs are hesitating at the start of the play when getting the pitch.... not every time, however.

Looks like it was doing it last season as well... but for whatever reason, I didn't notice it.

I noticed that as well, and considered filing it. It might fall into the category of the visual representation not matching what's really happening, but since it happens extremely regularly, and only on that one play, I'm going to say it's likely a bug.

It might have something to do with it being a pitch. A trap or counter shouldn't really be a pitch, but since it is one, it's forcing the HB to be in a certain spot to receive it.

I wonder if the actual pitch toss is random like a pass is... or the timing of it... causing the hesitation to wait for it or something.

It actually looks like the timing of the pitch is off.

that most certainly is odd.....it's almost as if he's doing a vision read before he gets the ball.....which tbh doesn't make much sense. In real football you're supposed to take the ball at the same spot every time.........right?

he's selling the counter. That's the point of it. You make the defense think the play is going one way, then you bounce it the other way by design.

actually I never noticed the hitch/hesitation on the RB's running the counter last season. Looks like a good number of replays though. The counter action of the RB going to the left initially is intended but I do think once you have the RB hesitate it gives defensive dots on the frontside more time to react and make a play. I'll verify this with TH and Kuaggie

It has to do with the speed/agility of the QB. The pitch has a fixed point and higher speed/agility QB's cause a pause in order for the pitch to be executed properly. It's working as intended and is not a bug.
