WL before plateau and after is way more impressive. And I'm sure RyanCane would tell you... he didn't do anything revolutionary.
Just allocated the points where they needed to go and went to a place that utilized his strengths.

unless you consider pushing strength and vision all the way to 60 revolutionary.. this. JP did enter the WL at 360 days old, though, something to be said about that

btw Denver is the best blitzer of all time

Why do I keep agreeing with bolick on stuff?

For bonus points, name the first blitzing CB to be extremely successful at this level...

I didn't list Clark because all-speed WRs weren't unique (MoMac, etc), but Speedy was above and beyond any HB until the new archetypes. Even Hulk Blazing was way, way short in both pure speed and receiving totals. Meanwhile Sacker Backer took balls because speed was a minor on LBs. I started out pushing speed on my guy Tailor but pussed out after a couple of seasons.

That's hardly ballsy... maybe you and your cohorts were afraid to do that but when I made Pervert, I went agility and then speed... and this was before I even knew who the fuck Sacker Backer was... the only prominent blitzing LB in my mind at the time was Denver and he was keeping everything secret (outside of watching dawts). So I'm not sure where you're going with this... I was pretty much out of the loop back then and just built shit the way I thought it should be and not necessarily how it worked in the current sims. Sacker Backer had 0 influence on Pervert or any speedy blitzing LB that exists right now.

Only 60+ each? Pervert's 70+ in both.

Believe what you want, but it was. Going that speed-heavy on a build that had speed as a minor was completely unheard of.

yup. I remember when we decided to push him that route very, very late in his career. The build was such a cluster fuck too, but our DC did a great job with him and he had some just dominating games.

Ya I had pushed my guys that route around level 60 and tried getting rusty to take on a blitzing cb. Wasn't till we seen that guy where he was like alright let's give it a try.
